Former Pupil, Phoebe Taylor, Becomes Double Junior World Champion
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of former pupil Phoebe Taylor, who has firmly established herself as one of Britain’s brightest young cycling talents.
This summer, Phoebe was crowned double Junior World Champion, winning the Madison and the Team Pursuit at the UCI Junior Track World Championships. In the Team Pursuit, Phoebe and her teammates not only claimed gold but also set a new world record – a remarkable accomplishment on the global stage.
Her success does not stop there. Over the past year,
Phoebe has collected a series of major titles, including:
- 2 Gold and 2 Silver medals at the UK National Track Championships
- European Champion in the Team Pursuit
- World Champion in the Madison
- World Champion & World Record Holder in the Team Pursuit
Phoebe, who was born and raised in Preston, began her cycling journey with Red Rose Olympic Cycling Club. She still regularly trains on local roads and joins the Preston chain gang rides whenever she is home. These achievements are testament to Phoebe’s talent, dedication, and hard work, and she stands as an inspiration to all our pupils — proof of where determination and ambition can lead.
We are delighted to celebrate Phoebe’s success and look forward to following her progress as she continues her cycling career with Great Britain.
