Fundraising for the Tom Church Foundation
It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Tom Church into school this week to present him with a cheque for £1778.75 for his charity the ‘Tom Church Foundation’. After Tom’s life-changing car accident which resulted in the amputation of his leg above the knee, the foundation has worked tirelessly to raise funds for the provision of prosthetics, aids and other specialised technologies to assist young people to achieve mobility and provide encouragement to either return to or enter the world of sport in order to maintain health and encourage others to rehabilitate after injury/illness. Our pupils, through their fundraising and contributions, alongside contributions from parents and members of the local community, have raised a significant amount of money to support this charity. Tom was accompanied by Mr Church Senior (our Mr Church’s dad and Tom’s grandad) alongside Year 11 pupils Niamh Rose, Henry Mason and Heidi Andrews to receive the cheque.
