Nathan Parker Visits Broughton
On Friday 20th March, we were delighted to welcome Nathan Parker, a local writer, back to Broughton High School to work with all pupils in Year 10. The day began with an engaging and thought-provoking assembly, where Nathan shared his personal journey into writing and performed some of his own work. Pupils found his story both motivating and inspiring, gaining real insight into how creativity and perseverance can shape a career. The assembly was followed by a lively Q&A session, with pupils asking a range of thoughtful questions. Later in the day, Nathan led a series of workshops focusing on public speaking, where Nathan offered practical advice on how to present work with confidence, something many pupils found particularly valuable.
Year 10 were an absolute credit throughout the day; their enthusiasm and engagement made the experience truly memorable. A brilliant, inspiring day enjoyed by all. Thank you, Nathan!
