PRESTON SCHOOLS’ FOOTBALL CUP FINALS - U12 Girls

Broughton 5 - 0 Ashton

On Wednesday, 6th May, the girls’ U12 football team played in the Preston Cup final at Deepdale against Ashton. Broughton went 1-0 up within the first minute through Mollie Killeen, and from there on in it was all Broughton. Ashton defended with grit and determination, and their keeper made some excellent saves throughout, but it was not enough to keep Broughton out. Broughton went on to win the game 5-0, with further goals coming from Elspeth Cross (2) and Valtesa Osmani (2). Player of the match went to Elspeth Cross for her domination in midfield. A huge well done to all the girls involved, who showed excellent teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the game.
