On Thursday evening, 6th November, the Year 8 team took on Corpus in a Preston League match. Fresh off the back of two big wins before half-term, the boys were full of confidence heading into this one. However, a slip at the back allowed Corpus to take a 1-0 lead early on. This appeared to spark the boys into action, and it was soon turned around into a 4-1 lead at half-time.

A slow start to the second half saw the lead be clawed back by Corpus, with Broughton leading 5-4 after the first 10 minutes of the half. However, some great teamwork, passing and effort saw the boys run out 7-4 winners.
