Preston Vocational Centre Awards Evening - Thursday 10th July

On Thursday evening this week, I had the pleasure of attending the awards evening at Preston Vocational Centre (PVC) to celebrate the achievements of the Year 11 learners, from a variety of schools and education establishments, who had attended the centre over the last academic year.  The evening was led by centre manager Martin Grayston and I am delighted to report that one of our Year 11 pupils received two special awards:

• Max Jones was awarded the ‘Outstanding Achievement in Joinery and Carpentry’ prize.
• In addition, Max received the ’Pupil of the Year’.

We are very proud of Max’s achievements and are delighted that this has led to an apprenticeship with CCH Joinery.
