Sporting Successes for Former Pupils
- Evie Lee and Alex Latham
Many congratulations to Evie Lee on her selection for the England Futsal u19s team. Evie started her football journey with Myerscough Junior Football Development Club, she played for the school team at Broughton High School and progressed in academy football, most recently representing Blackburn Rovers PGA. To represent England in the u19s Futsal team is a superb achievement. Evie left Broughton High School in 2025 and now attends Repton School where her success on the football pitch continues. Evie has recently broken a record at Repton School for being the first girl to represent the boys’ open age group in the school’s history. Evie kept a clean sheet in the game and helped Repton get to the semi-final match against Rossall School which Repton won.
We were also delighted to hear that Alex Latham, one of Cardinal Newman College’s Football Academy players, has been selected to represent the England Colleges FA national team. This is an outstanding achievement; to be chosen to represent England at national level is a superb accomplishment reflecting Alex’s footballing ability, her dedication, perseverance, and character. We wish Alex every success as she takes this next step in her footballing journey.
Evie and Alex's successes are an inspiration to Broughton’s current pupils, demonstrating what can be achieved through hard work, commitment, and a belief in yourself, showing that ambitions can be realised.

Very well done to Alex and Evie.
