Student Council Trip to London

Last Friday, 21st March, 32 pupils from the Student Council set off VERY early to London to visit The Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and finally the Sea Life Centre.  We were extremely lucky to have a tour of the Houses of Parliament, learning all about its vast history. On our tour we walked the same route that the King takes when he opens Parliament and got to stand on the spot where many Prime Ministers have stood.  After our tour, the pupils took part in a workshop on 'making petitions' and met a member of our local MP's team for a Q and A session.  Whilst on the London Eye, we got to take in London's iconic skyline including Buckingham Palace. We came face to face with sharks, stingrays, and huge jellyfish in the Sea Life Centre.

All the pupils were amazing; their manners, good humour and behaviour throughout the day was impeccable.   Thank you to Mrs Boardman, Mr Hughes and Mr Banks for accompanying us on the trip.
