U12 Girls’ Football
On Thursday, 14th May, the girls’ U12 football team played in the annual Rotary Club tournament at UCLAN sports arena. Broughton won three out of four of their league games, beating All Hallows, Lostock Hall and Greenbank to book a spot in the quarter finals. The quarter finals were a round robin between Broughton, St Bede's and Parklands, three teams, and unfortunately both games played resulted in a 1-0 loss. Broughton completely dominated possession in each of the games and had numerous scoring opportunities, but just couldn't find the back of the net and unfortunately lost both games 1-0. The girls played some excellent football throughout the day and should be very proud of themselves. Well done to all involved!
