U13 Indoor Girls' Cricket

On Wednesday, the girls’ U13 indoor cricket team played in the Preston Schools’ Cricket tournament. For many of the girls, it was their first ever competitive cricket match so there was lots of learning taking place. The girls were unlucky to lose their first game against Our Lady's after showcasing some fantastic batting in the first 5 overs, but some inexperience in running led to some key wickets falling, and Our Lady's went on to win the game 77- 67. Broughton lost their second game to Archbishop Temple; there was lots of improvements in the fielding but they struggled to score many runs against some strong bowling. Well done to all the girls involved!
