U14 Girls’ Football
On Wednesday,2nd April, the girls’ U14 football team played away at Corpus in the first round of the Preston Cup. Broughton got off to a fantastic start taking an early lead through Ellie O'Neill. Broughton scored soon again, after some lovely work from Megan Pye to set up Ellie O'Neill who slotted it past the keeper. Despite there being no goals in the second half, it was an entertaining game with opportunities being created by both teams, and both goalkeepers were tested several times.
Broughton were solid in defence and won the game 2-0. They will now play Fulwood or Longridge in the next round. Well done to all the girls involved!
