Virtual Talk from Author Ele Fountain
On Tuesday 28th April, we were delighted to host a virtual talk with Ele Fountain for our Year 7 and Year 8 pupils. During the session, Year 7 explored her novel Boy 87, while Year 8 focused on Fake. Ele shared insights into her writing process, the themes behind her stories, and the real-world issues that inspire her work. Ele then answered a range of thoughtful questions submitted by pupils. Feedback from pupils was overwhelmingly positive; many described the session as eye-opening, particularly discussions around government control in different parts of the world, alongside the freedom and creativity involved in writing.
A number of pupils also purchased signed copies of Ele’s books, and they were excited to begin reading them following the talk.
