Visit to Brontë Parsonage Museum

On Monday, 8th June, a group of Year 10 pupils enjoyed a visit to the Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth. The day began with a guided walk around the historic village, exploring the landscape and locations that influenced the writing of the Brontë sisters. Pupils then took part in an engaging Gothic writing workshop led by a resident expert, who explored how the Brontës used setting, mood and the supernatural to create tension and mystery in their writing. Finally, the group explored the Brontë Parsonage Museum and its exhibition, gaining a fascinating insight into the lives, works and enduring legacy of the Brontë family.

Before heading home, there was time for a quick visit to the museum gift shop, where many pupils purchased books and were delighted to have them stamped with an official Brontë Parsonage Museum seal: a memorable souvenir from a fantastic day. Pupils were exemplary throughout the visit and participated enthusiastically in every activity. Thank you to all pupils and Mr Banks for driving the school mini bus!
