Year 7 & 8 Cricket Champions

This term, pupils in Years 7 and 8 have experienced a number of formats of Schools’ Cricket.  Hardball has been played in the Lancashire Cup and for the first time we have also played Softball Cricket. Softball Cricket has been introduced to make Cricket more accessible, meaning that pupils don’t need to put pads and helmets on to play.  It has also allowed the full team to contribute to the batting score and required all the team to bowl. This year we have played Fulwood, Moor Park and Christ the King and I am pleased to say that both the Year 7 and Year 8 teams have won all their games; meaning that we are the League Champions.

 Well done to all the boys that have played.
