Year 7 Football

Over the last three Wednesdays, the Year 7 A & B teams have taken part in the group stages of the Preston football league. Travelling to Ashton on all three nights, both teams played eight games, with both teams playing all A & B teams to try and accumulate points.  It has been an incredible successful for both teams. Despite the tough format, both teams managed to score significantly more than they conceded, and a combination of teamwork, hard-work and effort saw a strong set of results be achieved.

The A team won all of their games, scoring around 30 goals, only conceding two. A dominant display which would not have been possible without the efforts of all involved.

The B team, despite playing against six A teams in the competition, still managed to win five out of their eight, scoring around 15 goals.

This means both teams have qualified for the final’s night in January, in which the A team will play a mini tournament against the other top three A teams, and the B team will play a mini tournament against the other top three B teams from the whole of Preston. It’s set to be a great night!
