Year 9 Pupils Visit LUSoM

A group of 30 Year 9 pupils had a brilliant time visiting LUSoM on Wednesday this week, with acclaimed mathematician Alison Kiddle delivering a lecture on "Noticing, Wondering and Mathematical Beauty". The lecture focussed on where mathematics can be found in real life and encouraged pupils to look for mathematics in the beauty of everyday life. It was also an excellent opportunity to visit the state-of-the-art LUSoM facilities and hopefully inspire pupils to consider studying mathematics at a higher level. Thanks to all who attended for their engagement and impeccable behaviour.
