Year 11 Examinations
Exams are a means of summative assessment to test knowledge, skills and levels of understanding.
Exams allow teachers, parents, pupils and a range of end users to have a reference point in terms of grades, levels and scores to assess the ability of a pupil. Exams are also a means by which pupil progress can be determined from one year/Key Stage to the next.
Exams are a fundamental part of the education system in England and pupils at Broughton need to be successful at taking and passing exams. However, Broughton must never become an ‘exam factory’. It is important that pupils ‘get involved’ in as many extra-curricular activities as possible, because this contributes to exam success.
The examination timetable is available via the link below.
Please note that the JCQ Contingency Date is Wednesday 24th June 2026 and all pupils must be available up to and including this date.
