Football – Year 7 Girls – English Schools’ Cup

On Wednesday, the Year 7 girls had their first football fixture away at Haslingden High in the English Schools’ Cup.  Haslingden were a very strong team, but despite being four goals down, the girls fought hard for the full 60 minutes and managed to pull a goal back through an excellent strike from Amelie.  Elsie and Isobella worked tirelessly through the middle, and Grace produced some excellent saves to keep the hosts at bay. A difficult first game, but fantastic work rate from all the girls involved. Well done!

Team: Elsie (C) Grace, Etta, Bella, Sienna, Ruby, Lucy, Amelie, Jessica, Ijeoma.
