Lancashire Book of the Year

This year, Broughton has been selected as one of the schools chosen to judge the Lancashire Book of the Year competition - the longest running young people’s regional book award in the country.

On Monday, 19th October, I took six of our Year 9 pupils to The Harris Museum and Library, to meet with some of the other chosen schools and find out what is involved. We had an interesting morning discussing judging criteria and looking at some of the longlisted novels.
