Preston City Athletics Competition - Broughton Secure 1st Place!
On Tuesday, 23rd June, it was the annual Preston City Athletics Competition at ULAN sports arena. With temperatures reaching 30 degrees in the afternoon, it was an extremely hot and humid day for both athletes and staff. Despite the weather, Broughton produced some absolutely fantastic performances both on the track and on the field. Among the 16 Broughton first places achieved, three out of four of our relay teams achieved first place, securing double points.
Overall, out of the 11 schools across Preston, Broughton finished in first place! An absolutely brilliant achievement where every pupil contributed and played their part. As a PE department we are immensely proud of all the pupils, not only for their athletic performance but also their exemplary behaviour throughout the day.
