Year 10 Geography Fieldwork Success in Liverpool
Our Year 10 GCSE Geography pupils recently completed their human geography fieldwork in Liverpool as part of their GCSE studies. Across two visits, one group of 60 pupils travelled on Monday 29th June, while a second group of 60 pupils attended on Friday 3rd July. We were fortunate to enjoy perfect weather on both days, providing ideal conditions for carrying out fieldwork activities across the city. Pupils worked hard throughout the visits, collecting a wide range of primary data to support their learning and prepare them for the fieldwork elements of their GCSE examinations.
A key part of the investigation involved conducting questionnaires with members of the public. Our pupils approached this task with confidence and enthusiasm, successfully completing a large number of surveys and gathering valuable data that they will now analyse back in the classroom. It was fantastic to see all pupils fully engaged in the activities. They demonstrated excellent teamwork, resilience and a positive attitude throughout the day, embracing every opportunity to develop their geographical enquiry skills.
Staff were particularly proud of the superb behaviour shown by both groups. The pupils were outstanding ambassadors for the school, receiving positive comments for their maturity, politeness and conduct while working in a busy city environment. Well done to all Year 10 geographers for their hard work and commitment.
